Argo Pro, a member of Argo Group International Holdings, has forayed into San Francisco to address growing requirements of the professional liability insurance market in the US.

The company has selected two professional lines underwriting experts, including management liability assistant vice president, John Politis, and errors and omissions underwriting manager, Mark Vella, to serve as its primary contacts on the West Coast.

The officials will be operating from the company's office located at 101 California Street, Suite 2800, in San Francisco, US.

Argo Pro senior vice president and chief underwriting officer Laurie Banez said the expansion into the West Coast forms part of the company's goal to achieve long-term, mutual business success.

''In today's increasingly risky world, we are committed to keeping pace with the growing specialty insurance needs of the professional lines marketplace,'' Banez added.

''To deliver on that promise, in large part, means providing our broker network with greater ease of doing business through local underwriting expertise and access to Argo Pro's broad portfolio of E&O and management liability products.''
