XL Group Recreational Marine team has launched ShipShape Plus, which is a part of the firm’s suite of recreational marine coverages designed to the meet the needs of luxury yacht owners.
The ShipShape Plus coverage provides advantages which include dockage reservations expenses for any pre-paid deposits and/or fees and dock box coverage.
Additional benefits of the coverage includes fishing tackle stored ashore, reducing deductible for two consecutive renewals if the client is loss free, crew wage continuation for 30-days, broad navigational limits, and substitute yacht coverage.
XL Group's ShipShape or ShipShape Plus protection includes more than 30 different yacht coverages to meet the insurance needs of luxury yacht owners, which also includes protection against fine art loss, latent defect and provable manufacturer's defect, navigational electronics and others.
The group's XL Specialty Insurance will also provide the ShipShape and ShipShape Plus coverages.
XL Group senior recreational marine underwriter Sue Cacoilo said, "Now, for yacht owners who seek even more refined protection, our premiere ShipShape Plus policy has been created to enhance our ShipShape product line, all the while offering more innovative, comprehensive protection that had been lacking in the marketplace."
